A vehicle parked on Colonial Avenue sustained about $1,500 in paint damage sometime between May 8 and May 9 when vandals scratched it with an unknown object.

According to a police report, the vandals scratched the name of an alleged gang and a curse into the paint.

The Gaffney Police Department reported the burglary of a North Limestone Street business this past weekend.

Sometime between midnight and 2 p.m. on May 11, someone broke into a fashion store at 310 N. Limestone St. by breaking the front window.

Several watches were stolen from a display case and several articles of clothing were taken.

An inventory will be conducted to determine the exact losses, police reported. Police said they attempted to lift fingerprints from the store as part of their investigation.

A Cliffside Highway resident lost more than $1,700 in tools and other items when a burglar targeted his shed.

According to a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the burglary occurred May 10.

Someone cut the locks off the shed and removed tools and various equipment, including a chain saw. Theft losses are estimated at $1,750.

A Dome Road, Blacksburg, home was burglarized sometime between May 8 and May 11.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, an unknown burglar forced entry into the home through a back door and ransacked the home.

A 52-inch television screen inside the home was scratched. It is unknown if anything had been taken at the time of the report. The television is valued at $1,000.

The Gaffney Police Department reported the theft of a trailer from a North Limestone Street business.

Sometime between May 10 and May 12, someone stole a black-colored 15-foot trailer from the parking lot adjacent to Daniel's Flowers. The trailer was valued at $3,135.
