Shindig will feature classic country music Classic country and swing will be heard Friday, May 16 as "Kelley & The Cowboys" perform for the City of Gaffney's third offering of the Shindig at the Cabin Concert Series. The concert will take place at 6 p.m., is free and open to the public. In case of rain, the concert will be moved into the Capri Theater located at 302 North Limestone Street. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to come downtown, sample delicious food and beverages served up by local vendors and enjoy the music of Kelley Breidling and her Cowboys. Hailing from Mount Airy, N.C., the group formed in 2005, and quickly made a name for themselves playing early country music with a passion and energy that is impressing audiences everywhere. Kelley Breidling's sophisticated and timeless vocals, Jeremy Odom's vintage groove on the electric guitar, Nick McMillian's extreme slap bass playing, and Cory Reynolds on the drums- always makes that dance beat call your name. Drawing on the influences of Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr., Ernest Tubb, Bob Wills, and many others, this act has that good ol' country sound some people have come to call "real" country music. Kelley will be performing songs made famous by those who have inspired her, as well as tunes she herself has penned. They combine their fresh young energy and classic feel with the rockin' sounds of the 50's and 60's, to the great delight of younger and older fans alike. It's a surefire crowd pleaser!
