Gov. Sanford/ Sasha Sarratt

Ewing Middle student Sasha C. Sarratt received the South Carolina Governor's Citizenship Award on April 21 in Columbia. She was picked out of the entire student body at John E. Ewing Middle School for the honor.

Sasha's teachers wrote the following about her when she was nominated:

"Sasha Sarratt has demonstrated great leadership skills as an EMS student council president. She has proven to be dependable and eagerly accepts challenges with enthusiastic confidence. She serves as a positive role model to her peers through her role as student body president, as well as, her example as a student. Sasha is always prepared for class and is respectful to all. Service, leadership, responsibility, character, discipline, equals SASHA SARRATT."

Sasha's Mom is Sita Sarratt and her sister is Symone Sarratt and Saige Allison. Her grandmother is Judy Doggett and her great grandmother is Gerutha Sarratt.
