Store clerk robbed, then fired MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) - A clerk at a Mount Pleasant convenience store has been fired one day after he was robbed at gunpoint at a Kangaroo Express gas station. Reynolds ''Rey'' Reeves told The Post and Courier of Charleston that company officials told him he was fired Wednesday because there was too much money in the till when the robbery happened. Company policy says no more than $50 should be in the register, but Reeves says there was about $300 in two registers because the store had been busy with tourist traffic. The newspaper says company officials declined to comment. The robbery happened on state Highway 703 around 3 a.m. Tuesday. Reeves wasn't injured and no arrests have been made. - - -
