Miss Burns, Mr. S´anchez wed Sept. 13 in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL - Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church provided the setting Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, for the wedding of Catherine Lee Burns of Charlotte, N.C., and Henry Lord S´anchez of Atlanta, Ga.

The Rev. Laura Smith Conrad officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Rock Hill Country Club.

Susan E. Read was the organist for the wedding ceremony and Dr. James Mark Bunch was the soloist.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Samuel Burns of Gaffney and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Weldon Burns Jr. of McConnells, Dorothy Wilder Wilkerson of Rock Hill and Mr. and Mrs. John Smith Wilkerson of Lake Wylie.

A 2006 graduate of College of Charleston, Mrs. S´anchez is a compliance officer for Wachovia's Corporate Investment Bank division in Charlotte.

The groom is the son of Wladimiro S´anchez of Caracas, Venezuela and the late Edith Margarita M´arquez. He is the grandson of Ana Espinoza of Venezuela, Sixto M´arquez, also of Venezuela, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Antonio S´anchez.

Mr. S´anchez received his MBA from The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 2006 and is a business valuation manager with Deloitte in Atlanta.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Honor attendants were the bride's sisters, Laura Sellers Burns and Rebecca Wilder Burns, both of Gaffney. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Lynn Hollis, Jenny Rebecca Kaemmerlen, both of Rock Hill, Erica Barnhill Childers of Gaffney and Stephanie Anne Stockman of Lansdowne, Va.

Best man was Juan Gerardo D´avila of Mexico City, Mexico. Groomsmen were the bride's brother, Charles Samuel Burns Jr. of Gaffney, Javier Alvarez and Rodrigo Beozzo Leme, both of New York, N.Y., Eduardo Alexander S´anchez of Potomac Falls, Va., and Paulo Javier Taborga of Charlotte.

The wedding was directed by Mary Anna Fulmer. Floral designs were created by Barbara Carswell.

After a honeymoon to Beijing, China and Phuket, Thailand, the newlyweds will make their home in Atlanta.
