Louise (Floss) Corbett Louise Addis Corbett, 86, of 800 Thompson St., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Carroll Corbett and daughter of the late Hugh Addis and Lula Whelchel Addis. She was a homemaker and member of Southside Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Bobby Corbett and wife, Myree, and Billy Corbett and wife, Dianne, all of Gaffney; three daughters, Carolyn Corbett Johnson and husband, Jerry, of Dallas, Texas, Sheila Corbett Cole and husband, Sam, of Gaffney and Kim Corbett of the home; Teresa Edwards, loved as a daughter; nine grandchildren, Patrick Corbett and wife, Emily, Kevin Corbett and wife, Cheryl, Leanne Corbett Holman and husband, Baron, Holly Corbett Robertson and husband, Mark, Eric Johnson and wife, Kelley, Crystal Cole Vassey and husband, Jason, Jeffrey Cole, Brian Phillips and wife, Beth, and Jason Brown and wife, Jessica; and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Corbett was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Corbett Sellers; three brothers, Herbert Addis, Broadus Addis and Paul Addis; and three sisters, Edessa Russell, Kathleen Addis and Daisy Hodges. The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 3, from 2-4 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the church with Dr. Wofford Caughman officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 204 W. O'Neal Street, Gaffney, SC 29340. The family will be at the residence.
