Bobby Seals

Bobby Gene Seals, 78, of 322 Ford Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Elizabeth Gordon Seals and the son of the late Glenn Issac Seals and Vinnie Self Seals.

He was retired from Hamrick Mills and a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and was active in all areas of church life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Tim Seals and wife, Plummie and Robert Seals and wife, Karen, all of Gaffney; two daughters, Drema Tharpe and husband, Larry of Rogers, Texas and Teresa Smith and husband, Paul of Gaffney; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers, Garland Seals, Joanie Seals and L. J. Seals and wife, Betty, all of Gaffney; two sisters, Sue Elliott of Gaffney and Carolyn Childers of Cherokee Falls.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Seals, two grandchildren, Jamie Scoggins and Robert Dwayne Seals, and a sister, Peggy Hambright.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Blakely Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Pleasant and Dr. Jim McClure officiating.

Interment will be in the Frederick Memorial Gardens.
