LC president has heart attack

Limestone College President Dr. Walt Griffin was hospitalized after suffering a mild heart attack.

Griffin was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, confirmed Dennis Bloomer, Limestone College assistant athletic director for compliance.

Griffin has been Limestone College president since 1992. There was no immediate word on his condition as of press time Friday.
