The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is investigating three separate incidents involving the theft, or attempted theft, of safes. According to one of the incident reports, someone entered a residence in the 100 block of Copper Trail in Blacksburg on Jan. 1 and attempted to break into a safe in the residence.
