Retired from textile industry
BLACKSBURG - Eula Mae Bolin Gibson, 75, of 427 Batchelor Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of James (Febo) Gibson and daughter of the late Stacy Bolin and Lula Bolin. She was retired from the textile industry and a member of Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Gibson of Gaffney and Angela Walker and husband, Pete, of Blacksburg; fiance', Robert Franklin Sides Sr.; three grandchildren, Rebecca Henson, Sabrina Fort and Mandy Walker; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Bullocks of Blacksburg. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Martin and Viola Patterson, and three brothers, David Bolin, Lake Bolin and Junius Bolin. Services will be held Friday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Church with the Revs. Willie Lanier and Lucky Earls officiating. Interment will be in Clingman Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1612 N.
