Jack Donahue Jr.

Jack Alonzo Donahue Jr., 56, of 166 Brendon Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Jane Gillfillan Donahue and son of Jack Alonzo Donahue Sr. and the late Nellie Fortenberry Donahue. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and was formerly employed by Nestlé. He was a member of Berry Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and father he is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Fowler of Gaffney, Sharon Copeland and husband, Chris, of Spartanburg and Barbara Brannon of Spartanburg; 11 grandchildren, Nikki Messer, Eddie Swanger, Ashley Hatcher, Stormie Wyatt, Zachary Wyatt, Forrest Copeland, Grace Copeland, Ricky Brannon, Kelli Brannon, Luke Brannon and Colby Brannon; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Andrew Lee Donahue and wife, Cindy, of Gaffney; three sisters, Susan Donahue Smith, Sara Medley and Nancy Clary and husband, Buddy, all of Gaffney.

Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Terry Duvall and Dr. Dwight Easler officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
