ROCK HILL - Nellie Patterson Oliver, 88, of 1090 Chandler Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2009 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

A native of Cherokee Falls, Mrs. Oliver was the daughter of Archie Clayton and Lula Scates Patterson. She was a member of North Rock Hill Church of God and formerly worked at JP Stevens, Hosiery Corp of America in Rock Hill and Lowenstein Corp in Gaffney. She was the widow of Willie T. Oliver.

Mrs. Oliver is survived by her sons, Jerome Oliver of Rock Hill and Roger P. Oliver of Sharon; three daughters, Judy Wilson, Linda Kay Davis, and Tina Carter, all of Rock Hill; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Marie; brothers, Clayton Patterson and R.H. Patterson; and sisters, Conolia ("Johnnie") Green and Myrtle Nelms.

Services will be held Thursay, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel with the Revs. Mike Wooten and James Garner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following and other times at the home of her daughter, Linda Kay Davis, 1442 London Drive, Rock Hill.

Interment will be Friday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg.
