Carol Sue Robbins Ellison, 49, of 1102 Elmore St., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 23, at her residence.

Born in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of Evelyn Patterson Robbins and the late Charles Robbins. She was formerly employed by TNS Mills and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Blacksburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Stephenie Ellison of Gaffney; a brother, Michael Robbins and wife, Tina, of Blacksburg; two sisters, Nancy Byars and husband, Joe, of Gaffney; Rachel Stroupe of Roughmont, N.C.; and a long time companion, Billy Olmstead.

Services will be held at Monday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Gregory and Barry Miles officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 25, from 7-9 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
