The creative talents of seven Cherokee County artists are on display at Spartanburg Community College's Cherokee County Campus in Gaffney thanks to an agreement between the college and the Cherokee County Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA).

"The presentation will give SCC students and guests the opportunity to see the work of the talented individuals residing in Cherokee County and is a wonderful cultural and learning environment for the students and the public," said Daryl Smith, executive director of the campus.

CAVA artists participating in the display are Dustin Blanton, Sara Dame Setzer, Andy Cox, Charlotte Peeler Brown, Brandy McDaniel, Tedi Hoke Gibbons and Shelba Cook. This is the second time CAVA and SCC have partnered to display local artists' works at the Cherokee County Campus.

"Cherokee County is brimming with creative talent," said CAVA president Cindy Wilson. "And we are so pleased to be able to share this talent with the community through this exhibit at SCC's Cherokee County Campus."

The artwork will be on display in the lobby of the academic building on SCC's Cherokee County Campus through Feb. 20 from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday. The showing is free and open to the public.
