Absentee ballots for the April 28 South Carolina House of Representatives Seat 30 special election may be cast beginning Monday, April 6, in the Voter Registration Office (Room 1008) at the Peachtree Centre, 1434 N. Limestone St., Gaffney.

In order to be eligible to vote in this election, you must have been registered to vote in Cherokee County prior to March 28, 2009, and reside in House District 30.

Any citizen who is eligible to vote by absentee ballot and would like to have a ballot mailed to them may call the Voter Registration Office to request an Application for Absentee Ballot.

The Voter Registration Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The office will also be open Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. until noon for absentee voting. The absentee voting period will close April 27 at 5 p.m.
