Elizabeth Williams
Elizabeth Ann Coyle Williams, 53, of 1061 Hamrick St., Lot 23, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009, at home after a valiant battle with cancer.
Mrs. Williams was a loving mother, daughter and wife. She was born in Cherokee County, where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Henry Grady Coyle Sr. and Janelle Painter Coyle. She first married David Scruggs and was thereafter married to the late Tampico Bostic and the late Roland Williams.
Mrs. Williams was of the Baptist faith. She worked in the taxi business for more than 15 years. She loved going to yard sales, flea markets and thrift shops. She was a good woman with a kind heart. Cancer took her life too soon, but it is God's will. Her companion and caregiver, Ricky Dean Huskey, loved her a great deal.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, Danny Lee Scruggs and wife, Darla, of Gaffney; her companion, Ricky Dean Huskey, of the home; a sister Shirley Helen Bolin and husband, Ricky, of Gaffney; her special dog, Pepsi "Boo" Bolin; stepchildren, Teri Jo Ramsey, Ricky Dean Huskey Jr., Sara Williams and Mary Williams; grandchildren, Michael Ray Ramsey Jr., Bridget Michelle Ramsey and Irelan Elise Scruggs (due May 2009); nieces, Lisa Gail Bolin and Jennifer Coyle; and nephew, Andy Coyle.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Grady Coyle Jr. and John Dean Coyle.
A memorial service for Mrs. Williams was held at the home of her mother, 302 Walnut St., for the family only, on Sunday, April 5. The family will receive friends Monday, April 6, from 6-8 p.m. at 302 Walnut St.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Foundation, 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
