Youth hoop league signup underway
The Cherokee County Youth basketball summer league signups are being held now until May 31.
The league is open to girls and boys, ages 5-17.A summer league basketball camp will be held April 11 from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at B.D. Lee Elementary.
Interested players can sign up for the summer league and camp at Sagesport and the recreation department.

Limestone's Scruggs wins golf tourney
Limestone's Kyle Scruggs carded an even par 70 at the 2009 Conference Carolinas championship, hosted by Belmont Abbey College at the Tanglewood Park Championship course in Clemmons, N.C.
The sophomore posted a 216 ver 54 holes, earning first place overall with a 6-over-par.
The men's team finished with a 899 to capture fourth place.
The women's team completed day three with a 418 for a three- day total 1,255 to finish seventh.
Limestone's Brad Williams and Luke McClellan both shot a 227, tying the teammates for 19th place. Kyle Parker (Gaffney, S.C.) shot an 8-over-par 78 (232) to finish tied for 28th.
Saints tennis team downs Coker, 8-1
The Limestone College men's tennis team defeated Coker College 8-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center.
The Saints improve to 8-4 overall and 4-2 in league play after today's Conference Carolinas win.
The Saints won five of the six singles matches. Limestone's Thomas Ollivier, Phillippe Hogan , Miguel Lopez Zuniga, Henrik Nordquist and Christian Warnholtz all won their singles in two sets.
Daniel O'Brien and Hogan took the top doubles flight 8-0, as Warnholtz and Nordquist posted an 8-4 victory at the No. 2 flight. Paulo Avila and Zuniga defeated their opponents 8-2 at the No. 3 doubles slot.
