BIG RIG OVERTURNS — The driver of this tractor-trailer, hauling a full load of merchandise and household goods presumably destined for a Dollar General store, slid off Highway 18 early Thursday evening in southern Cherokee County and overturned. The driver, whose name was not immediately available, was transported to Upstate Carolina Medical Center for treatment. Firefighters said he suffered lacerations in the crash.
