The Moses Wood Camp 125 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Moses Wood Chapter 469 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will observe Confederate Memorial Day in Cherokee County on Saturday, May 9.

Ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. at the Confederate Monument on the corner of Limestone and East Buford streets.

Citizens of Cherokee County are encouraged to come honor these brave American veterans. As a true Southerner, all have ties to these men who fought in the most deadliest war in American history.

Guest speaker will be SCV State Lt. Commander Don Gordon.
