Blacksburg High student Lauren Melissa Roberts will attend a state leadership seminar this weekend at The Citadel in Charleston.

Roberts is among 123 high school sophomores selected to attend the South Carolina Hugh O'Brian Youth (Hoby) Leadership Seminar. She is the daughter of Paula and Dexter Roberts.

Hoby Leadership Seminars bring together a group of high school sophomores with groups of distinguished leaders in business, government, education and other professions to discuss present and future issues. The goal is to provide youths with a stimulating forum for learning about critical issues while broadening their understanding of their leadership potential and quest for self-development.
