Mary "Grannie" Hollifield Hensley, 85, died Saturday June 13,2009 at Fair Haven Nursing Centre in Bostic, N.C.

A native of Spartanburg County, Mary was born July 29, 1923, a daughter of the late Almarene and Alma Woods Hollifield.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and retired from Fiber Industries.

She is survived by two sons, Wilbur Ray Hensley and wife Edna of Mooresboro, N.C., Donald Hensley and wife Kay of Gaffney; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Hensley Hoyle and husband, the Rev. Frank Hoyle of Morganton, N.C.; a brother, E.D. Hollifield of Morganton, ten grandchildren; the Rev. Robert Hensley, Donna Cromer, Catrina Hollifield, Teresa Hensley, Rodney Hensley, Jane Hensley, Christopher Lynch, Jason Lynch, Nikki Morgan, Roger Hoyle and 16 great grandchildren.

Aside from her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ray Hensley, and a son, Wayne Hensley.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday June 16, 2009, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at McKinney- Landreth Funeral Home in Cliffside, N.C.

The family will be at the home of the Rev. Frank and Joyce Hoyle, 115 Rocky Top Drive in Mooresboro.
