MARIETTA, Ga. - Jewell Ledbetter Hardin, RN, 73, of Marietta died Tuesday, June 16, 2009.

Mrs. Hardin retired after 39 years as a nurse with Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta and was a member of Shallowford Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sarah Ledbetter; her husband of 51 years, Billy "Wes" Hardin; and children, Beth Hardin and Steven Hardin.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Hardin of Marietta; two sisters, Joann Peterson and Dottie Hardin, both of Blacksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 19, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Clingman Memorial Gardens in Blacksburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the charity of one's choice.

The family is being served locally by Gordon Mortuary of Blacksburg.
