Post 109' pitcher Jason Biershenk and his teammates travel to Inman today after Thursday's game with Spartanburg was rained out. Mother Nature has given Post 109 fits this season.

Heavy thunderstorms forced the postponement of Thursday's game between Post 109 and Spartanburg - the second time this week a game has been rained out.

"Everybody is in the same boat," Post 109 coach Jeff Osment said. "A lot of games are going to be jammed together. The biggest thing is knocking the rust off."

The damp weather has forced Post 109 indoors for practice sessions. But that's not the same as seeing live pitching.

"We got to get in game shape to play," he said.

Post 109 has played just four games this season and only once since June 2.

Inman, today's opponent, has played one time, a 7-6 loss in 10 innings to Post 109. But Osment said Post 109 will face an improved Inman team with the addition of former Boiling Springs star Jimmy Revan, who is coming off a successful season at Spartanburg Methodist.

"We expect to see him," Osment said.

Osment said he's undecided who will start for Post 109.

After today's game, Post 109 will travel to Greer for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday.

The teams played on Tuesday with Post 109 coming away with a 5-2 victory, thanks, in large part to the 13-strikeout effort of pitcher Tyler Wilson.
