Advance tickets are the only way to see The Catalinas perform at this year's Peach Beach concert.

Tickets are now on sale for the Peach Beach concert on Saturday, July 11, at 7 p.m. in the Broad River Electric Co- Op Auditorium. Tickets are $20 per person for the South Carolina Peach Festival event. The ticket price includes appetizers and drinks. Corporate tables are available for $175.

The Peach Beach will include a shag dance competition, food, drinks and several hours of music by The Catalinas.

The Catalinas have been performing since 1957 and have opened for such groups as the Temptations, the Four Tops and the Monkees. The Charlotte beach music group is best known for its 1975 song "Summertime's Calling Me." The song was recently voted the No. 4 beach music song of all time by the Carolina Beach Music Awards Association.

"The Catalinas remain one of the hottest bands on the beach music circuit," festival productions chairman Dennis Fowler said. "The Peach Beach will be the biggest indoor party of the summer. The Catalinas will do a great job in helping us kick off the Peach Festival this year."

No tickets will be sold at the door for the Peach Beach concert, Fowler said. Tickets can only be purchased right now from festival board members.

"We are working on finding additional ticket outlets for the Peach Beach concert and hope to make an announcement soon," Fowler said.
