Colonial Crafts and Trade Fair at Kings Mountain

BLACKSBURG - Kings Mountain National Military Park will host a Colonial Crafts and Trade Fair on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28. Artisans and craftsmen from across the Carolinas will be demonstrating an array of 18th century skills and crafts during this annual event.

Among the arts and trades represented will be tombstone carving, rifle making, carpentry and joinery, woodworking, colonial games and toys, lantern making, trapping and tanning, 18th century medicine, blacksmithing, scrimshaw, weaving and inkle looming, making of linen paper books, wooden button making, and candlemaking. There will also be discussions on the use of herbs in the 18th century.

The event will be held on the grounds near the park's visitor center from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. until 3 pm. on Sunday. There is no admission fee.
