Louise Davis Long, 86, of Brewster, N.Y., passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009.

Born April 22, 1923, to Byers Davis and Essie Reid Davis of Gaffney, she married Grady Long Sr. on June 25, 1943. She was a loving mother, wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother, and will always be loved and missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers, Felix, Paul, Silas, Fred, Jesse and John.

Surviving are a sister, Edna Davis Shannon of New Rochelle, N.Y.; three sons, Grady Long Jr. of White Plains, N.Y., Benjamin J. Long of New Rochelle, N.Y., and Charles P. Long of Atlanta, Ga; three daughters, Diana Long of Mount Vernon, N.Y., Edna L. Dunston of Land O'Lakes, Fla., and Desiree Louise Stewart of Danbury, Conn.

Services will be held Monday, June 29, at noon at St. Francis AME Zion Church, Port Chester, N.Y, with interment in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
