Ree Hasty

Frances Euree (Ree) Reynolds Hasty, 88, of 423 Buck Shoals Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at her residence. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Harold Hasty and daughter of the late A.F. Reynolds and Orla Ellis Reynolds. Mrs. Hasty was a homemaker and member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Hasty loved country music, was an avid reader and gardener, and loved flowers and cats.

She is survived by two daughters, Ellan Hasty Rhodes and husband, Homer, of Columbia and Donna Hasty Harris and husband, William, of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Nathan Rhodes and wife, Winona, Jayne Jordan, Tambri Doby and husband, Mike, Deniece O'Neal, Bobby O'Neal and wife, Gwen, and Kelly Tripp and husband, Tate; five great-grandchildren, Christopher Tolleson-Doby, Shelley Hope, Avery O'Neal, Olivia O'Neal, and Ellis Tripp; a great-great grandchild, Jordan Russ; and a brother, A. F. Reynolds of Gaffney.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hasty was preceded in death by a brother, Wofford Reynolds and a sister, Willene R. Blanton.

Services will be held Friday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Frazier officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held Thursday, June 25, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
