Police issue wanted poster in slaying of prominent peach grower

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has labeled the Saturday death of a prominent local peach grower a homicide.

In a wanted poster (seen here, click on the image for a larger version) released to media outlets Monday afternoon, the office of Cherokee County Sheriff Bill Blanton said investigators are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect seen at the Battleground Road home of Kline Cash prior to the time his body was discovered.
Cash was found lying on the floor of his home unresponsive at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday. Investigators later said he died from a gunshot wound.
The wanted poster includes a sketch of a suspect and the following description: "The suspect is a white male, with salt and pepper hair, height is approx. 6'2" plus and approx. weight is 250 pounds. At the time of the murder the suspect had a 3 or 4 day old beard."
The suspect was driving a 1991 to 1994 model two-door Ford Explorer Sport, which had faded grey or champagne-colored paint.
