McCraw - Cobb vows said June 6
MRS. CHRISTOPHER TAD COBB (Carmen Patrice McCraw) Carmen Patrice McCraw of Gaffney and Christopher Tad Cobb of Blacksburg were united in marriage on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Grassy Pond Baptist Church. The Rev. Martin Hogg officiated the ceremony that was followed by a reception in the church's Life Center.
Mrs. Cobb is the daughter of Ronny McCraw and Richard and Brenda Miles of Gaffney. She is the granddaughter of Opal G. Williams and the late Jack Dean Williams and Eugene and Evelyn McCraw of Garden City Beach. A graduate of Gaffney High School, she is employed by Tidewater Transit in Cowpens.
Mr. Cobb is the son of Billy Jo and Iris Cobb of Blacksburg. His grandparents are the late Velda Byars, the late Dude Byars, the late Linell Cobb and the late Earlean Cobb. He graduated from Blacksburg High School and is employed by Wal-Mart Distribution in Shelby.
Ronna McCraw Whitman attended her sister as matron of honor. Julia Jones Hamrick, friend of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. Kayla Anne Masters, cousin of the bride, and Emily Elizabeth Whitman, niece of the bride, were flower girls.
The groom had his father as best man and the groom's brother, Jonathan Adam Cobb, was groomsman. Ushers were Daniel Tyler Cobb, nephew of the groom; Alan Clark Masters Jr., cousin of the bride; and Michael James Whitman, brother-inlaw of the bride.
Bell ringers were Samuel Webb Masters, cousin of the bride, and Dawson McCraw Whitman, nephew of the bride. Ring bearers were Anthony DeShaun Garrison, nephew of the groom, and Sawyer Dean Whitman, nephew of the bride. The candles were lit by Jordan Isaac Cobb, nephew of the groom, and Jack Thomas Masters, cousin of the bride.
Heather Michelle Cobb, sister-in-law of the groom, and Casey Cobb Garrison, sister of the groom, attended the guest register and Heather Denise Price, friend of the bride, distributed programs.
Music was provided by Rhonda Hamrick and Laura Keller, soloists, and Sandra Ellis, organist. David Hogue was the reception musician.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents in the Grassy Pond Social Hall.
After a trip to Tennessee, the couple will make their home in Blacksburg.
