Peach Festival 3 on 3 tourney

The South Carolina Peach Festival is looking for teams interested in competing in a new basketball tournament.

The Peach Classic 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held July 11 at 9 a.m at Blacksburg Middle School.

The tournament is for boys and girls in age groups 12-17.

The deadline to sign up is July 3. Teams and individuals can register on the peach festival website at www.scpeachfestival.org.

Peach Festival golf tourney

Golfers will take to the Cherokee National Golf Course on Friday, July 17, for the annual South Carolina Peach Festival golf tournament.

The golf tournament is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. The format is Captain's Choice. All teams should have a minimum handicap of 30.

A captain's meeting will be held at 12:45 p.m. The entry fee is $300 per team and is due when entry form is turned in.

Peach Festival road race

The South Carolina Peach Festival will hold its annual road race events Saturday, July 11, at Limestone College.

A 5K walk and a 10K run will start at 7:30 a.m. The Saints Club One Mile will begin at 8:45 a.m. Only participants registered by July 3 are guaranteed a T-shirt and gift bag.

The cost for the Saints Club One Mile race is $10. The cost for participating in the 5K walk and 10K run is $15 before July 3. After this date, the cost increases to $20.
