His modus operandi has been to worry about dishing out playing time, rather than wins or losses. But even Huff had to be pleased with his club's 6-0 mark at the Spartanburg Christian team camp on Thursday and Friday.

The Indians beat Byrnes, Spartanburg Christian and Seneca on Thursday. They followed that up with 'Ws" against Heathhood Hall, Mauldin and Spartanburg Day School on Friday.

"Everybody got to play a lot," said Huff, who said a total of 18 players made the trip to Spartanburg Christian.

The coach said he was pleased with his team's fullcourt pressing defense, which created turnovers.

"I'm seeing some improvement," Huff said. "We had a couple of spurts where we went to the fullcourt press and the other teams turned it over a bunch."

Conversely, the Indians are taking better care of the basketball than during their first team camp at Fort Mill High School earlier this month.

Gaffney will return to the court soon for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes team camp hosted by USCUpstate.

Typically, the camp attracts some top teams from the area but the Gaffney coach said he's not familiar with this year's field.
