Authorities believe same person killed all three victims

A team of more than 30 investigators from multiple agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has been assembled in the wake of three murders in less than a week in the northwest corner of Cherokee County. Police tape stretched for hundreds of feet around a Buck Shoals Road property Wednesday afternoon as investigators searched for clues in the deaths of two women who apparently died by gunshots. Post 109 manager Jeff Osment summed up John Michaels' home run show the best. "He saw some good pitches and he hit them." Did he ever. Michaels slugged a pair of 2-run homers and drove in six runs to help Post 109 clinch a tie for the League VI championship with a 16- 5 victory at Union on Tuesday.
