The reward fund for the serial killer who has terrorized Gaffney and Cherokee County continues to grow.

As of Monday afternoon, the reward fund stood at $34,500 thanks to donations that have been pouring in.

Among the donations is a $10,000 reward posted by local businessman Roger Huskey, who had helped the initial reward pool grow from $2,000 to $20,000 as of Monday morning. An additional $14,500 came in after the increased award was announced.

"It's time for these families (of the victims) to get closure," Huskey said about his decision to donate, adding that he, his family and his business  are all based here.

"I love this town and love the people," Huskey added.

Not only did Huskey know murder victim Kline Cash, he went to school with murder victim Gena Linder Parker and played football with her husband.

"I want this (situation) stopped," he said.

Anyone who would like to make a donation to the reward fund can call Leigh Caldwell at the Cherokee County Sheriff’ Office at (864) 489-4722, ext. 113.
