YORK - Faye Dora Parker Borders, 87, widow of William A. Borders, of White Oak Manor, 111 S. Congress St., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 10:30 p.m. at White Oak Manor.

Daughter of the late Ben Parker and the late Martha Starnes Parker, she was a native of Cherokee County, a member of Youngs Grove Baptist Church and retired from Pharr Yarn.

She is survived by a daughter, Ruby B. Williams of Gastonia; a brother, Deroy Parker of Blacksburg; a sister, Lurlean Black of Gaffney; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Larry J. Brooks. Burial will be in Youngs Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the hour of the service.

The family is at the home of her Larry and Ruby Williams, 512 New Castle Road, Gastonia.
