Ledford - Singleton vows said June 20
MRS. VICTOR CARLTON SINGLETON (Cynthia Renee Ledford) Cynthia Renee Ledford of Spartanburg and Victor Carlton Singleton of Greenville were married June 20, 2009, at The Bivens House in Lake Junaluska, N.C. The Rev. Morris Thompson officiated the ceremony that was followed by a reception at Waynesville Golf Resort, Inn and Spa in Waynesville, N.C.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Clinton Ledford of Roebuck, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Aaron Rinehart Hamrick of Gaffney and the late Mr. Hamrick, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Alexander Ledford and the late Emily Etta Gossett Ledford, all of whom lived in Chesnee. A graduate of Woodruff High School and Converse College, she is an Art Educator with Spartanburg County School District Seven.
The groom is the son of Celina Lynn Weems of Simpsonville and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Allen Singleton of Pickens. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Earl Starky of Mauldin and Mr. and Mrs. William Carlton Singleton of Pickens. A graduate of Pickens High School and Lander University, he is the Executive Sous Chef with The Greenville Country Club and teaches with the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas.
Emily Wood, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor. Tara Walker, friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Parker and Lindsay McDade, friends of the bride, and Kayla Alexander, sister of the groom. Mackenzie Moore, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
Hal Singleton, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Trey Singleton, brother of the groom, Doug Fortenberry and Russell Burton, friends of the groom. Logan Wood, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Amber Holden, Jessica Bonds and Ann Buttimer provided the music.
Christi Hollingsworth and Kathleen Cobb, friends of the bride, were the program attendants.
After a honeymoon to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Greenville.

Prior to the wedding, the bride was given a kitchen shower at The Greenville Country Club by the groom's mother, Celina Weems, his sister, Kayla Alesander, and his aunt, Brookes Galloway.
Mrs. Curtis Walker and Tara Walker entertained the bride and her friends with a miscellaneous shower at their home in Woodruff.
The couple was entertained with a barbecue dinner/lawn and garden party at the home of Ed and Ginger Selby, given by the Selbys, Hal and Lisa Singleton, Russel and Leslie Dalton and Kenna Moore, all family of the groom.
A bridesmaid luncheon was given by the bride and her mother on June 17 at The Bivens House at Lake Junaluska.
