Timothy Wayne Hambright, 44, of 598 Lyman St., passed away Friday, July 3, 2009, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Cherokee County, he was the son of Carolyn Hughey Hambright and the late Joe Dean Hambright. He was formerly employed in the textiles industry, was a graduate of Blacksburg High School and of the Baptist faith.

Also surviving are a son, Ryne Hambright of Gaffney; his fiancé, Tammy Devore of Gaffney; and two brothers, Mickey Hambright of Boiling Springs and Ricky Hambright and wife, Monica, of York.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Hughey, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Hambright.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Hambright Cemetery in Cherokee Falls.

Visitation was held Sunday, July 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
