Perry Baxter Logan, 92, of 138 Iris Lane, widower of Colene Dawkins Logan, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 4, 2009, at the V.A. Medical Center in Asheville, N.C.

Son of the late Jimmy Logan and the late Mamie Mosley Logan, he was born May 2, 1917, in Henrietta, N.C. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Henrietta.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph Lawrence Logan of Reno, Nev., and T.C. Logan of Gaffney; three daughters, Cynthia Love of Henrietta, Malinda Logan of the home and Samantha Logan Foster of Gaffney; a stepdaughter, Mattie Lee Littlejohn; four sisters, Naomi Littlejohn, Ruby Lipscomb, both of Henrietta, Cupid Sorrell and Mable Logan, both of Garner, N.C.; a brother, the Rev. Thomas Logan of Newton, N.C; 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family is at the home of his son, T. C. Logan, 108 Jefferies St., Arrangements by Foster Funeral Home.
