Porkchop Productions will present 'Little Red Riding Hood' at Gaffney, Blacksburg libraries
Porkchop Productions will present Little Red Riding Hood on Monday, July 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Blacksburg Library and at 2:30 p.m. at the Cherokee County Public Library in Gaffney.
Children of all ages will enjoy Porkchop Productions' fanciful adaptation of this classic fairy tale. All of the favorite characters (and a few new ones) are brought to life. Big laughs, audience participation and an important lesson about following the rules highlight this rollicking performance.
"Children and their parents are invited to join Porkchop Productions at the Gaffney and Blacksburg libraries as they celebrate their 10th season as part of the Summer Reading Program," said Susan Sarratt, children's librarian. "They are pulling out all the stops with their fractured adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood. It's fun, it's fantastical and it's free."
Founded in 1991, Porkchop Productions offers a variety of theatre experiences to young people throughout the Southeast. They are dedicated to expanding artistic horizons by providing professional interactive theatre for young people and promoting a lifelong appreciation of the performing arts.
