WHAT'S UP Fund raisers Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will have a hot dog sale Saturday, July 11, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot of Food Lion in Blacksburg. Plates are $5. Proceeds will go toward the cost of a trip to camp for the youths. Church news The White Plains Baptist Church family will honor their pastor and first lady, Rev. and Mrs. James Patton Jr., on their 29th pastoral anniversary Sunday, July 12, at 4 p.m. The Rev. Wymon Wilkins and Rocky Springs Baptist Church will be guests. New Harvest Ministries, 215 Pecan St., will begin having a regular praise and worship service each Monday at 7 p.m. Abingdon Creek Baptist Church will have Pastor Appreciation Day on Sunday, July 12, to celebrate Pastor Bill Jones' 20th anniversary. Rehoboth Baptist Church will have homecoming services July 12 beginning at 11 a.m. Featured speaker will be Donnie Padgett, Director of Missions of the Broad River Baptist Association. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. The Deacons' Ministry of Mikes Creek Baptist Church will host its annual program Sunday, July 12, at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Billy D. Houze, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Lawndale, N.C. Dr. Kenneth Ridings, former president of Fruitland Bible Institute, will be preaching at the 11 a.m. service Sunday, July 12, at Cherokee Falls Baptist Church, 109 School St. The Mount Tabor Baptist Church Usher Ministry will celebrate its anniversary Sunday, July 12, during the 10 a.m. worship service. The message will be brought by the Rev. Anitonette Gardner, associate minister of Mt. Tabor. Class reunions Granard High School Class of 1964 will have its 45th reunion July 10-12. Reunion events include: Friday July 10, banquet and dance at the Cherokee Shrine Club with "meet and greet" beginning at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 11, picnic at Lake Whelchel, 2-6:30 p.m.; Sunday July 12, worship service in the H.G.
