D.B. Jefferies, 90, of Detroit, Mich., widower of Irene G. Jefferies, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009, at Convalescent Home in Michigan.

Son of the late Sammy Jefferies and the late Sally Jefferies, he was a native of Union County. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, George Jefferies and Tommy Jefferies; a daughter, Dorothy Hallway; six brothers and a sister.

Surviving are six brothers; a sister, Carrie Spears of Jonesville; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will greet friends Saturday, July 11, at 6 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kershaw, 159 Forster Chapel Church Road, Jonesville.
