Dear Editor:

During the nine days in Cherokee County, many people were involved in the investigation. We all think about the law enforcement, but there were others.

The people of Cherokee County with their tips, the people who called to send food, the ones who called to send money for the reward, and the fire department to help with the traffic.

Who took all the calls? We think 9-1-1 deserves a thank-you for all their hard work during all of this. Have you thought how many calls they received from we the people and the law enforcement on this investigation? We think they deserve a thank-you along with the other people involved in the case. They have not been mentioned in any articles or interviews.

We would also like to thank the fire department for all their time and help. We know there were long and hard days for everyone involved. And we thank God this case is closed. Thanks 9-1-1. Sincerely, Sybil Queen Gaffney, S.C.
