Jordans celebrate 50th

Nancy and Cecil Jordan are pictured at left in 1960 and at right in a recent portrait. Cecil and Nancy Jordan of Blacksburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2009.

Mr. and Mrs. Jordan were married in 1959 in Chesterfield. They have two children, Danny Jordan and Cindy Childress, and five grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Jordan were honored with a reunion of family and friends on June 27 at their home in Blacksburg. The gathering was hosted by the couple's children and entertainment was provided by The Helms Family, a bluegrass and gospel group from Concord, N.C.
