GROVER, N.C. - Thomas Anderson Martin, 52, of 103 Brookwood Drive, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.

Husband of Wanda Haynes Martin of the home, he was the son of the late Glenard and Bonnie Barrett Martin. He attended First Baptist Church of Grover and was formerly employed by Vulcan Materials. In his spare time, Mr. Martin loved to garden.

In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by two sons, Thomas Lee "Bubba" Martin and Jacob Glen Martin, both of the home; and a sister, Libby Kurth of Blacksburg.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, from 5-7 p.m. at White Columns in Blacksburg. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, July 19, at 3 p.m. at Grover City Cemetery, with the Revs. Jeff Mooney and Scott Hardin officiating.

The family is at the home.

Thomas may be remembered with memorials to Shriners Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
