The Gaffney Police Department is investigating a July 17 incident during which a woman was found with "head to toe" injuries inside a West Montgomery Street home.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the home July 17 to assist emergency medical providers and observed a woman lying on her living room floor with multiple bruises on her arms, legs, torso and head. The woman was transported to Upstate Carolina Medical Center for treatment.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a July 20 incident during which a woman was allegedly beaten, cut and held against her will on 14th Street.

According to an incident report, the woman told police she had been assaulted by her boyfriend and struck in the face. She told police she also was cut on her ear with a knife and was physically prevented from leaving her residence for almost four hours.

An arrest had not been reported as of July 21.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office reported a burglary on Overbrook Drive.

According to a police report, someone forced entry to a home in the 900 block between 4:30 p.m. July 18 and 2:30 a.m. July 19, causing about $250 in door damage.

Nothing appeared missing from the home.

A GPS navigation unit was stolen from a parked vehicle on Bolin Road.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, someone entered the vehicle as it was parked in the 100 block between midnight and 9 a.m. July 19 and took a MIO Digi Walker model C220 GPS unit valued at $250.

A burglar who targeted an Old Georgia Highway home between July 18 and July 19 took a broken television.

According to a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's office, someone entered the home in the 2500 block between 1 a.m. July 18 and 7 a.m. July 19.

The only thing report- ed missing was a broken television valued at $20.

A burglar or burglars made off with guns, knives and jewelry during the July 19 break-in of a Wilcox Avenue home.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, someone forced entry to the home in the 1200 block between 8:45 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. Descriptions and estimated values of the stolen items were not listed in the police report, though deputies listed the theft as a case of grand larceny.

A detective was called to the scene.

Two all-terrain vehicles were reported stolen from a Blacksburg home following the break-in of a storage building.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, someone entered a storage building in the 200 block between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. July 17 and took a red Honda Rancher 350 all-terrain vehicle and a black Honda 300 EX allterrain vehicle.

The two vehicles are valued at $3,700.
