LEDGER READERS ON THE ROAD
Robert E. Little took a copy of The Ledger on a trip to St. Louis, Mo., for the 2009 Major League Baseball Home Run Derby and All-Star Game held July 13-14. On your next trip out of town, or tour of duty, take a copy of The Ledger along and send a picture of yourself or your group reading the newspaper to: cody@gaffneyledger.com; or editor@gaffneyledger.com. David and Amber Bell went with their grandparents, Carl and Becky, on vacation to Myrtle Beach in June and they took The Ledger with them to read on the road. While on a family vacation in Myrtle Beach visiting Ripley's Aquarium, this family kept up with local news by taking along The Gaffney Ledger. Pictured are (back row, left to right) Haley Stanford holding Kaylee George (daughter of Jeremy and Summer George), Jordan Clark and Kayce LeRoy holding Lauryn Driskill. (Front row) Jayden Driskill and Payton LeRoy. (Jayden and Lauryn are the children of Jason and Sherry Driskill.) Bill and Sylvia Caldwell took The Ledger with them to Ireland. They are pictured in front of Kylemore Abbey and Gardens. The castle, set at the foot of the Duchwach Mountain, is a 19th Century Gothic Revivalist fantasy on the shores of Fannon Pool. |
