Harriet Clary
Harriet "Billie" Padget Clary, 86, formerly of 1204 Elmore St., passed away Friday night, July 24, 2009, at Brookview Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Clary was the widow of Barney Clanton "June" Clary Jr. and daughter of the late Alvin Davenport Padget and the late Eunice Padget Padget of Saluda. A member of Buford Street United Methodist Church, she was retired from Quality Control Department of Oxford Industries
Surviving are three daughters, Suzanne Coates and husband, Richard, of Gaffney, Elaine Ferrell and husband, Phil, of Columbia and Bonnie Blackwell and husband, Terry, of Gaffney; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Padget Yarbrough of Saluda; two brothers, Josiah Padget of Montgomery, Ala., and Henry Padget of Simpsonville; and her friend and sisterin law, Betty Clary of Gaffney.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Clary was preceded in death by two sisters, Callie Sue Padget and Hester P. Forrest, and two brothers, Alvin D. Padget and Benjamin Padget.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m. at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens. Services followed at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Elder Lynn Lawhon and the Rev. Carl Clary. Burial was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of Mrs. Clary's daughter, Bonnie Blackwell, 214 Ruth Dr.
