Practice Aug. 11 for Granard

Granard Middle School will begin football practice on Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Players must have a completed physical from the doctor before practicing.

Physical forms are available at the school. Players must wear shorts, tennis shoes and a T-shirt to practice.

GHS football tickets to go on sale

Gaffney High School reserved season football tickets will be sold on Monday, Aug. 3 through Thursday, Aug. 6 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to last year season ticket holders.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 10 to Thursday, Aug. 14, tickets will be sold to the general public. Tickets will only be sold from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on those days.

There are five home games this season at a cost of $6 per game and total cost of $30.

Parking passes also will be on sale for season ticket holders.

The price will be $15 for every two tickets purchased.

The tickets will be sold in the attendance office.

Gamecock Club banquet Aug. 13

The Cherokee County Gamecocks Club will hold its fall banquet on Thursday, Aug. 13 a the Cherokee National Golf Club. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Broadcaster Todd Ellis will be the guest speaker.

An Auction for eight season tickets will be held and Friends of Carolina will recognize this year's scholarship winners.
