Betty Jo Sanlin
Betty Jo Dillingham Sanlin, 76, formerly of 161 Northey St., passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Brookview Healthcare.
Born in Rutherford County, N.C., Mrs. Sanlin was the widow of Daniel Forrest Sanlin and daughter of the late Dewey and Gladys Byars Moss. She was a member of Moss Memorial Church and was retired from working in textiles.
Surviving are a son, Dewey Clark Sanlin of Gaffney; three daughters, Teresa Camp of Moore, Cynthia Champion of Blacksburg and Tammy Eason of Gaffney; two brothers, Larry Moss of Kilean, Texas, and George Edward Moss of Gaffney; a sister, Genelle Moss of Gaffney; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sanlin was preceded in death by a son, Danny Sanlin; a sister, Jeanette Moss; and a brother, J.D. Moss.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 2, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary in Blacksburg. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaffney with the Rev. William Blanton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Camp, Tracy Eason, Daniel Ruppe, Tony Sanders, Bill Rhinehart, Jeremy Champion, Devon Moss and Joseph Moss.
The family is at her former residence, 161 Northey St.
