Caroleen Jefferies Wilkins, 60, of 305 Magnolia St., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at 3:05 a.m. at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

Daughter of the late Willie Jefferies Sr. and the late Verie Jefferies Hopper, she was born March 16, 1949, in Cherokee County and was the wife of Horace Jefferies Jr. She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cowpens and was last employed by Broad River Truck Stop.

Surviving are two sons, Jackie Jefferies and Curtis Wilkins, both of Gaffney; two daughters, Merchell Harris and Geneva Wilkins, both of Gaffney; three sisters, Rosa Mae Jefferies, Shirley Epps, both of Gaffney, and Pricilla Coleman of Shelby; two brothers, Willie Jefferies Jr. and Johnny Jefferies, both of Gaffney; nine grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and a host of other relatives.

The family is at the home of Wash and Geneva Wilkins Jr., 117 Iris Lane in the Westerly Park community.
