Hopewell Day is set for Aug. 19
Tri-Cities Community Club hosts 92nd annual event in Hickory Grove
      HICKORY GROVE - The Tri-Cities Community Club will host the 92nd annual Hopewell Day Picnic and Gospel Singing on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the old Hopewell Schoolhouse, located just off Hwy. 97 outside of Hickory Grove. The singing begins at 10 a.m. Featured this year will be the Riverside Boys from Lockhart. There will also be lots of congregational singing.

      School news Grassy Pond Elementary School will have its Open House/Title 1 annual meeting Thursday, Aug. 13. K-2 meets from 5-6:30 p.m. and 3-5 meets from 6-7:30 p.m. A brief meeting will be held in the gym with classroom visitation afterwards.
